Montreal Chickens
Mont-Royal

Chickens are not allowed in Mont-Royal.

Prohibited. By-law 1380 (art. 11) bans possessing farm animals, non-domestic animals, or wild animals within city limits. The only exception (art. 11.1) — beehives, under specific conditions. The zoning by-law (1441, 160 pages) has no agricultural or residential-livestock use anywhere; the only "poultry" occurrence concerns retail businesses (butcher shops), not residential keeping.
