Montreal Chickens answers one question: can you legally keep laying hens at your address, in the agglomeration of Montreal? The site shows the rule, the conditions, and if the answer is no, helps you write to your borough council.

Montreal has 19 boroughs and 15 demerged cities, each with its own answer. Keeping hens is prohibited by a single city-wide bylaw, and individual boroughs can opt out of that prohibition by ordinance. This site follows that structure jurisdiction by jurisdiction, rather than giving one answer for “Montreal”.
